Material Thickness - Recommended teeth per inch:
Under 1/4" thick - 18 to 24
1/4" - 1/2" thick - 14 to 18
1/2" - 1" thick - 10 to 14
1" - 2" thick - 6
2" - 3" thick - 4
Over 3" thick - 3 or less
